Child abuse continues to rattle the world and has started to impact the future of many countries, particularly that of Jamaica. However, Northern Caribbean University (NCU) has joined the fight against child abuse and has sought to bring about a change by educating the future leaders and nation builders of this issue. This was done through the university’s annual health week programme on the main campus recently. The programme covered topics such as “Nutrition and Health”, “Child Abuse: Recognizing, Reporting and Preventing”, “Emotional Effects of Child Abuse”, “Stress Management”, “Breast Cancer Awareness”, among others.
