The Office of The Children’s Advocate (OCA) is condemning the reported execution style killing of three (3) teenage boys: 14 year old Raymond Givans and Ricardo Briscoe, as well as 16 year old Alex Turner, in the Moneymusk Housing Scheme in Hayes, Clarendon last night, April 15, 2015. We not only express our deepest condolences to the families of these teenaged boys, but also to the family of the adult who was also murdered.
An impassioned Children’s Advocate, Diahann Gordon Harrison, noted that “it is extremely disheartening to continue to receive reports about these vicious and heinous attacks against our children. To be constantly receiving reports of this nature almost every month (and in some months, almost every week), since the start of the calendar year, doesn’t augur well for us as a nation. We clearly have monsters among us who are so depraved of any concept of humanity within their souls, that they can think of, and perpetuate such acts. For my part, I am happy that at least two persons have been held by the police in relation to this incident and I can only hope that those who are responsible, will be held accountable. These boys were reportedly coming from the gym and merely seeking to do what so many teenagers enjoy doing these days – to go on the internet. It truly is a sad set of circumstances.”
Under the Child Care and Protection Act (CCPA) all persons who have any information, however sparse, are duty bound to ensure that the rights and best interests of all children are preserved at all times and to reveal what they know. We implore you to cooperate with the police on this matter.
