Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller recently received a courtesy call from the Children’s Advocate, Diahann Gordon Harrison, at Jamaica House. In the meeting, the Prime Minister pledged to work with the Office of the Children’s Advocate to satisfactorily address matters relating to children in Jamaica. She urged Mrs Gordon Harrison to engage community groups to address matters such as better parenting, improvements in child education and well being. Mrs Gordon Harrison assumed the role in January.
